What is Poker Battle?

Well, that's a great question, it seems like it was a poker social network that was "coming soon" with great fanfare (ads, wsop sponsorship crap) and then was in beta for a month an collapsed. It was the brainchild of a French poker pro, Phillipe Rouas (see more here). Now it says coming soon. What gives?
